g solutions.A wide range of desktop applications are available. They range from low cost IP telephones to PC telephony software and PDA applications. It is an important fact that regardless of the device, full access to all HiPath 3000 features is provided.
HG1500 uses Channels to provide bandwidth requirements. The entry level blade provides 2 channels. Additional channels can be added up to a maximum of 16 for HiPath 33 and 35 series systems and up to 32 for HiPath 3800 applications. In addition, user licenses need to be added for each desktop application which is used.
HiPath 5000
HiPath 5000 is the first, fully featured soft PBX which provides telephony services and applications for customers with up to 1000 users. Indeed, HiPath 5000 provides access to all HiPath 3000 features and all HiPath applications such as Xpressions Unified Messaging, ProCenter Agile and Callview.
Every softswitch needs a gateway to connect to the Wide Area LAN and the external world. In HiPath 5000 applications, this gateway is provided by a HiPath 3000 system. This means that HiPath 3000 accredited partners can use their existing skill sets and product knowledge to easily step into the softswitch market. In addition the HiPath 3000 gateway will provide support for analogue and digital telephony interfaces and important applications such as DECT –try finding another pure IP solution which caters so well for traditional telephony applications as well!
HiPath 5000 is IP call control software which is loaded onto an industry standard server which is connected to the IP network. It is highly secure as it has in-built resilience and server options are available which provide service levels with greater than 5 nines reliability.

The optiClient 130 V5.0 desktop application uses VoIP and supports the H.323 standard, combining the advantages of enhanced telephony with those of convergence through to IP-based infrastructures. All of the key CorNet IP features are thus available directly on the PC under Windows 2000 and Windows XP. optiClient 130 V5.0 turns your notebook or PC into a telephone, making it the centre of your multimedia communication with voice, data, e-mail and web capabilities. optiClient 130 V5.0 can run both in the HiPath 4000 V2.0 environment via the HiPath HG 3530 V2.0 gateway and on HiPath 3000/5000 via the HiPath HG 1500 v2.0 (or later) gateway.

Part of the Siemens workpoint family, optiPocket offers all the functionality of optiClient 130 on a PDA, giving users access to all HiPath features, including access to your contacts from the MS Outlook contact file or from your corporate directory –as simply and conveniently as if you were in the office. optiPocket is an innovative telephony client for PDA connecting via WLAN to the Real Time IP systems HiPath 3000 V4.0 and HiPath 4000 V2.0. The operating concept and design have been adapted to suit the requirements of a PDA using the Pocket PC 2003 operating system. The user interface is available in German, English, French, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish.
